Projects

It is not a must, it is just a opportunity and if I can take this and make this happen it is fantastic. Here it is :

• European Union has big amount of money for Romania for very different projects. Until 2013 Romania has to spend a lot of money for different projects, and the country is not ready for this. This is open since 2007 and very little money have been taken.
• There are money for improving orphanages like the one I represent. For building a new orphanage it is not possible , but to improve the one that are already functioning and make them better the EU can give from 100 000 EURO to 1. 000 000 EURO.
• There are e few conditions for this:
1. Not to ask money from EU in the last 5 years. ( we did not)
2. Improve the life standard of the beneficiary ( the children)
3. Increase the number of beneficiary ( more children)
All these conditions I can make , and in fact is the purpose of our charity , so it comes in the same line of the EU. We can meet the goals of our charity with help from EU.
4. We need to put 2% of the project value into the project . ( we do not have these money )
5. We need to pay the project to be made by a special company that is 4% of the value ( our charity does not have these money too)

For all the expanses I have made a small project , and the amount of money I want to ask from EU is 300 000 EURO. This includes :
1. Take down the old part of the building( it is made of reused bricks , with a very small foundation, and the level has no resistance structure) I have asked a company to come and make a evaluation of the building and because of these , the company said that the old house it is not safe for living in it. So this would be my no 1 reason for asking the money from EU SAFETY.
2. Change everything inside the house , from beds , to toilets, and windows kitchen , etc. Kitchen is a problem for us , because EU regulation ask for food to be taken inside the building on one way—be stored— be cooked — be served — taken out the rest. This is a regulation that they ask , and it is impossible to make it now with the house we have. This is our no 2 reason to ask money from EU REGULATION THAT THEY REQUIRE
3. Make a play area in the garden. We have a small play area ( as you know ) but have made partnership with other charities who do not have a play area , and nursery schools , that their children can play in our garden. No 3 reason : MAKE A BETTER IMPACT ON HELPING
4. We need a better heating system and be able to save on heating in the winter. So on our list we have a new heating system with solar heat and change the old heating system we have with new and more efficient ones. No 4 reason ECONOMY

I know that this is great work, and I am a bit scared of the amount of papers I will have to make, and all the reports they will ask , and all the papers from the local authorities. I will have to spend also in this area money, and I do not know these costs, because I have never done this before.

So my request is if you can help us in this area in any way.
1. 2% we will spend and EU will not give back anything 6 000 EURO
2. 4% we will spend on project EU will give back only 1% 9 000EURO
3. Some money that will be spend for all kind of building approbation , and expenses that I cannot see now, and I am sure it will come on the way.

I had a meeting with the board of our charity, and got their permission to make this happen, with the condition that I find the resources, and the children will not suffer from this, but will benefit.
There are money that can be taken for different use, like restaurants, cinemas, bars , hotels , small or big businesses , it would be a shame not to benefit if there are money for children , and their welfare.
I am sure this would be a great work, and with great demands, also it is very possible not to be able to make the project. If the EU will not agree, than we cannot make anything at all. In that case we will loose only a lot of work and a lot of time and the money that we will need for papers and documents from the local authorities.
