In 1993 a lady from England who was dying of terminal cancer,prior to her death she had seen a television programmer about Children in Romanian Orphanages.She was very much affected by what she saw. The poor conditions and the state of the children, the unnourished hundreds of orphans, forgotten by society and wanted to do something about it. So she left a percentage of her estate in order for us to build a nice orphanage in Romania. We opened an orphanage called "Casa Ioana" which means "Johanna's House". Johanna's friends and family contributed to support her work; they also came and visited the orphanage.
